Thesis Refresher

These designs all fallow a similar layout and design with minor modification to allow for a better response to its respective climate region.
The Southern designs (All regions are in the United States) have operable clerestory windows to encourage heat to be vented out of the shelter. The Northern unit in comparison has smaller windows and a lower ceiling to help conserve heat.
The comfortable climate in the Southwest provides for great outdoor living spaces, so a large porch with operable shades on the floor and ceiling can give openness or privacy.

This thesis was intended to provide a possible solution to the temporary emergency shelter problem and also draw attention to the importance of designing in response to climate forces.
